April 14-18th, 2025
We would LOVE to have you join us for our second Refresh retreat to Marrakech! Our resort facilities are truly special with plenty of space to unwind, relax, have some alone time or hang out with others. We are just far enough from the lights and energy of the city that star gazing from one of the lodges’ roof tops or napping in a hammock behind the pool is possible and encouraged. This trip maintains an important balance between exposing you to the magic of Morocco and its people and giving us all the space to decompress and reset.
Who this retreat is for: those open to a little adventure and in love with discovering the special places on this beautiful blue and green globe. Be open to exploring and surrendering to a bright and captivating experience. We will share tea, stories, yoga, lots of sunshine and take in all that we can of Marrakech from the labyrinth souk to the monkeys, musicians and snake charmers in the Djemaa El Fna. Families with children 7 years and up are WELCOME. Special programing will be provided for kids at the resort including crafts, yoga and storytelling.
Who this retreat is not for: anyone not open or ready to go with the flow (yoga pun intended). In all seriousness, Morocco is an incredible place and there will be moments you are sure you stepped into an Indiana Jones film. If being mere feet away from snake charmers enchanting (defanged) cobras, pushy stall sellers trying to overcharge you for a Moroccan lamp or diving into (delicious) North African food feels out of your comfort zone, maybe sit this one out.
Warning: You will probably want to buy ALL THE THINGS in the souk. We’re available to help guide you with bartering and navigating the rich culture.
A little about Morcocco: Located in North Africa, this country is safe and tourist friendly. Marrakech is a popular vacation destination for Europeans, who can fly here in 1-3 hours (and usually same time zone). A majority Muslim country, the population is comprised of Arab Moroccans and the indigenous Berbers. You will hear the call to prayer a few times a day and Friday is their holy day, so some shops may be closed or limited hours.
A little about our lodgings: October in Morocco will still be quite warm, which is why we selected a retreat with a spacious pool. A short 15 minutes from the airport and 25 from the Marrakech medina (Old City), the Ecolodge was designed and constructed with the local economy and environment in mind. Primarily equipped with solar energy (no AC), we will still have WIFI. The property is on over 7 acres and is comprised of multiple lodges, a pool house, a traditional wood hammam and a large kitchen where a local catering service will prepare our meals.
Includes: 4 nights at our luxury retreat center, transportation to and from airport, two daily meals, yoga, souk excursions, cooking class
Not included: tips for staff (typically $50-100 per travel group), hammam treatments, third meal (ex lunch/dinner in souk), day trip excursions (options to be provided), flights. Pricing for add ons and suggested budgets for incidentals will be provided.
Pricing below is broken down first as per room (with occupancy numbers) or per person. Deposit of $500 (per person) will hold your spot for 30 days with the balance owed on the 31st day or 30 days from departure – whichever comes first.
Please check with Lindsey before submitting payment to ensure your lodging choice is available.
Please take a moment to review the cancellation policy, as there are NO exceptions.
For cancellations up to 30 days prior to the retreat, there will be a $500 processing fee; the remainder will be refunded within 60 days. No refunds or credits will be issued less than 30 days from the start of the retreat unless the room or bed is sold to another participant. In that case the $500 processing fee will be retained, and the remainder refunded within 60 days.
We understand that things come up – 2020-2022 really hammered that lesson home. For this reason, you are advised to purchase travel insurance to protect your investment. We recommend www.squaremouth.com.

They have a passion for travel and for exploring new cultures.

Flight Tips
Departing: Royal Air Maroc has an overnight flight from IAD to Casablanca with a short layover and can get you into RAK by early afternoon on the arrival day.
Returning: It is very easy and affordable to get from RAK to just about anywhere in Europe. We recommend considering adding on an extra day or two and exploring Lisbon, Paris, Barcelona and more (or explore another Moroccan city!). From Europe you will be able to easily locate a direct flight back to IAD.
